Career Objectives and Interests

My professional goal has always been to enter into the field of graphic arts. I went to college to receive a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, and when it became clear that field was trending towards computers, I attended grad school to receive a Master's degree in Informatics, specializing in computer graphics and animation. My body of work ranges from Flash animation to printed media, 3-D works and short stories. It has been wonderful learning new ways to create art. Now I am looking for a suitable profession where those talents can be put to good use.

At this time, I am volunteering at Indiana University, where I am part of the artistic design and promotional aspects of a federated online search tool project called 'eHumanity' (http://e-humanity.org), which involves the collections of the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian and Autry Southwest Museum of the American Indian. Working in a team like this has been of great benefit to me, and I hope that it will also impress upon prospective employers my continued dedication to remaining productive in the field I have chosen. In my spare time, I am writing short fiction and contributing them to writing contests, as well as working on a completed novel that I am seeking to have published.
